01 / OVERVIEW
Automatic Case Packers and Carton Bundling Machines for End-of-Line Packaging
GRAND case packers combine case erecting, product grouping or stacking, loading and tape sealing in one automated system, reducing manual handling at the end of your packaging line. Carton bundling machines group boxed products with heat-sealed PE film before case packing or shipment.

03 / INTEGRATED SYSTEMS
Case Packing at the End of a Complete Line
A case packer works best when it is planned with the machines in front of it. GRAND connects cartoning, bundling, checkweighing, case packing and palletizing into one coordinated workflow, with one supplier responsible for the interfaces.

FAQ / CASE PACKING MACHINES
Case Packing Machine FAQs
Common questions about loading methods, case sizes, output, and end-of-line integration for automatic case packers.
What does an automatic case packing machine do?
Our case packers combine case erecting, product grouping or stacking, loading, and tape sealing in one automated system, which reduces manual handling at the end of the packaging line.
What is the difference between side-loading and pick-and-place case packers?
Side-loading packers, such as the GDS500 and GZY500, group products and push them into the case from the side, which suits regular, stackable cartons. Pick-and-place packers, such as the GZY550, use suction cups to lift and place products into the case.
Can irregular products, dividers, or manuals be packed?
The GDS600 is designed for more complex packing requirements, including irregularly shaped products and the insertion of cardboard dividers or manuals. Product samples and your packing pattern are needed for evaluation.
What case sizes can be handled?
The case size range depends on the model. For example, the GDS500 lists case sizes from 300 × 250 × 200 mm to 500 × 500 × 450 mm. Share your case dimensions, board type, and number of products per case.
How many cases per minute can be packed?
Listed outputs include up to 8 cases per minute for the GDS500, up to 5 cases per minute for the GDS600, and up to 300 cases per hour for the GZY600. Actual output depends on the product count per case, packing pattern, and product type.
When do I need a carton bundling machine?
Carton bundling machines such as the GDSK15, GDSK25 and GDSK35 group boxed products and secure them with heat-sealed PE film, at 8–35 bundles per minute across the range. They connect to upstream cartoners and can feed downstream case packers.
Can a case packer be connected to cartoning or shrink-wrapping machines?
Yes. Case packing lines such as the GZY500 can connect with upstream cartoning or shrink-wrapping machines. Conveyor height, product orientation, and control signals need to be aligned, so please share your line layout.
